Hôtel Port-Royal

The staff is great, very nice and friendly, room is great , rustic but modern , the laundry is a bit small only 1 washer and 1 dryer for the guests. ample parking. I like it so much i have come back for a second stay.

You cannot find a better place to stay in old Quebec City. Located right by the port in the lower section of the old city, the hotel is surrounded by lovely streets and countless restaurants. It is a short walk to the cable car that will take you to the upper section of the old city. Accordingly, all major tourist attractions are just a short walk away. We had a small suite that was completely refurbished, tastefully coordinated and gave you a great sense of relaxation on entering. The bed was very comfortable, and the suite's furniture and kitchen equipment was all first-class. We have traveled a lot in Asia and the Hotel Port Royal compares to some of the best hotels where we have stayed in terms of comfort and amenities. All the staff that we encountered were most pleasant, efficient and attentive. The air conditioning functioned perfectly during the times of a heat wave while we were there. Check-in was smooth and efficient. The restrictions due to COVID-19 were quickly and well explained. My wife and I were both satisfied and relieved that the hotel management was taking all precautions necessary to ensure that we remained safe from contamination and minimize the risks of exposure to this influenza. This hotel also features a lovely restaurant and patio. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Quebec City. It is a gem!

The location is excellent, in the nicest area of Quebec city. The restaurant is also great and was packed on Saturday night. The thing is is the hotel itself is outdated, the deluxe suite room is far from deluxe and far from a suite. We paid 340$ a night and was expecting a lot better. The price is close to Hotel Ste Germain and St-Antoine but it’s not comparable. If it was 200$/night i would give it 4 stars.

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend and I had an amazing experience. I was in the deluxe suite room with a king bed that was incredibly comfortable. The hotel receptionists were really kind and helpful during our stay. Located right in the heart of Old Quebec, and about a 20 minute drive from the Place Ste Foy shopping centre.
