Les Fromages du Verger

The nicest person served us at our first visit to this authentic small cheese making location. We were greeted with a warm smile with beautiful scents of cheese in the air! After hearing the recommendations, we went with the two most popular products: le Pommé and le Brebichon. These were truly delicious cheeses and were enjoyed at a picnic later in the day. We will be back!

Best Apple Orchard Ever North of Montreal! Been going there since they opened! Why? Family run and non-commercial feel. Snuggled within a little valley away from the beaten track. You will appreciate the tranquillity, the feel of being surrounded by nature and their apples! Our family favourite the Honey Crisp. The kids love it. The little hidden jewel of Saint-Joseph-du-Lac. Try it...You won't regret it! Can't wait for Fall!

Wonderful local cheese discovery. Their products are made from their own sheep's milk. We can visit their sheep farm and buy other local products uncluding seasinal jellies and jams, frozen vacuum sealed meats (lamb and pork cuts). We bought a rack of lamb and lamb chops which we roasted that same evening and it was delicious. Cheese we bought were the semi hard ''Pommé'' cheese, which tastes very similar to a manchego, and the Brebichon, which was like a brie. I will be looking if its possible to buy them locally in Montréal!

Great place for apple picking. A nice activity for the fall season to share with family and friends.

A small local store. The cheese is from their sheeps. They have their own lamb and pork meat (ground and in pieces but frozen). They also have organic apple orchard for apple picking. Very friendly and nice. Also they sell local products from other producers like honey, jams, etc.
