Climbing Escapes

Before I took Emma’s course I was a little scared of climbing outdoors. Emma has this wealth of knowledge that made me feel at ease instantly. Once I had learnt some more techniques and how the gear worked, my confidence grew and my worries went away. Emma is patient, kind, and made the day really special. She comes very highly recommended in my books.

I took a guided outdoor rock climbing session with Emma and it was an excellent experience. She is a great instructor with a wealth of knowledge, and she did everything to make you feel safe and comfortable while rock climbing. Emma is patient, fun, and an overall excellent outdoor and rock climbing guide!

Emma is a competent, patient and enjoyable person. Her character makes learning how to climb engaging, fun and stress free. My spouse and I have taken lessons with Emma for our intro to outdoor climbing, our anchor classes and for a multi day camp+climb event – every outing was memorable and we left with smiles on our faces. I left in 2019 for a retreat with Climbing Escapes. It is an experience that will remain etched in my memory. Everything was beyond my expectations. The setting is ideal and rejuvenating. I never had any climbing experience prior to this. Emma is so patient and caring, she encourages every step you take and reassures you when you're doubting yourself. There was this part where I knew I couldn't go on but Emma hyped me up, as well as others, to continue and try to do my best. I did not make it but I sure appreciated the cheering! Emma made the whole expedition so smooth, easy and super fun. Absolutely recommend this sweet escape.
