Last time I was there the place was really busy Unfortunately this time it was during covid and it was a strange atmosphere, arrived on Sunday night and both the lounge bar and restaurant were closed. I had to ask the check in guy where to get something to eat.First breakfast i hot was bacon, sausage scrambled egg, the scrambled egg wasnt very nice at all in fact it was greasy, wasn't a fan at all. Second breakfast avocado on toast with fried eggs and tomato on top, avocado was about an inch thick on top far far too much, ate the eggs, not a fan at all. The room was lovely , clean and tidy when I arrived.

My fiancée and I were challenged with finding a large venue to accommodate our wedding group of 50 in Sept 202 due to COVID-19 social distancing. We ended up choosing the Emerald Ballroom in the Royal Hotel in Calgary. It could not have been more perfect. The ballroom, the planners Tracey and Sophie, all of the serving staff, the decorators, the food, the rooms for our guests....it could not have been better. I completely recommend them for your next wedding. Ours was perfect because of them.

Myself and my husband have been staying here for 15 years. This year we were upgraded to a jacuzzi suite for our Anniversary no extra charge. That is why we continue to return Amazing customer service.

The place is outstanding, even during a pandemic the hotel kept a very high service standards as a clean place to stay safe without worries about covid or any other issues. Very good food, breakfast and service desk. SUPER CLEAN!

The staff were wonderful! We stayed for two weeks and the staff made us feel as if we were returning home instead of merely visiting. There were so many kind faces, but two really stood out. Benjamin went out of his way to provide superior customer service with a cheery countenance at both the bar and the front desk. Rose took care of us during weekdays at the restaurant. We were in a large group and she remembered each of us, including where we sat and the drink that we preferred. It was such a lovely feeling to walk into the restaurant each morning and discover our preferred drink waiting for each of us at our own place setting. This kind of personal customer service seems rare in today’s world. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!
