Best Western Plus Ottawa City Centre

What set this hotel apart for me was the staff. It seemed to me that they wanted us to feel welcome there and it was genuine. Lots of places could take a customer service lesson from here. Warm and friendly greeting who couldn't do enough to make sure we had and knew everything before we left the front desk. Restaurant staff with the same attitude and treatment. Even checkout gave the same feeling. Hotel is nicely renovated, great feeling bar|restaurant in the building. There were a few small things that had to be overlooked just based on how great the staff was. For sure a place to stay again when we come back to Otttawa.

This is our second stay at the Best Western Plus City Center. The location is perfect for our needs. It is close to many amenities with an excellent little restaurant just across the street, along with a Shoppers and a few other stores in a little plaza. Being in the corner of Carling and Merivale, it is easy to get anywhere. The room is a good size and depending on the area, the bathroom is either large and spacious or a normal 5x8. The staff are courteous and efficient. We were on the 3rd floor,which we under renovations, but being the weekend, no one was working so no noise to worry about. Will be staying there again as our daughter is going to school on Ottawa and this location is convenient to the school and her apartment.

Would have given 5 star but this BW is the only one we have ever stayed at of the 4-6 we stay at each year that did not offer a free Continental breakfast. And setting up the TV function was very awkward and not user friendly for a former IT person that I am. I had to get a hotel rep to come to the room to help set it up. It could and should be far more automated.

Wow wow wow! I am beyond impressed with the staff, restaurant staff and hotel! Probaly one of the best hotels I have ever been in. Staff were so helpful! Great hospitality, very clean hotel and rooms. Restaurant staff were very friendly and food was great! Eased my mind to know I had somewhere to stay while my boyfriend was taken to Ottawa hospital and we were from out of town. They made me feel welcomed and very safe. Thank you so much for everything. Prices were excellent! I would rate this alot more stars. Next time I'm in Ottawa I will certainly be checking into this hotel again. Thank you!
