Sutton Place Hotel Edmonton

Great place. Clean. Friendly staff. During our stay (March 2021) we had a late check-in (11pm). We went to our room. 28C and only 9 stationsbon the TV...all sports. Called front desk and they moved us across the hall. TV had all the channels, but THE HEAT WAS STILL UNBEARABLE...28C. Barely slept due to the heat. During check-out I mentioned the heat issue to the person at the desk, who happened to be the manager. He said that it is a know issue that they are trying to fix, but it has been difficult, due to covid. He gave me his card and told me to call or email him before coming to Edmonton, next time and he would take care of us. Not sure what that means, but we will see.

The customer service was very responsive. There's a slight problem during our time of arrival due to parking reasons however they were able to manage it as quickly as possible. We also tried its pool area with whirlpool and it was a good experience. They have even upgraded the room. It was clean and comfortable. Its window has a view of a bustling neighborhood in Edmonton, Alberta. It was such a pleasant stay!

Great location, awesome view from higher floors, very nice decor, warm and cozy environment. Staff were very helpful and accommodating to our needs. There was a big pool, hot tub and gym available to book at scheduled times to ensure social distancing.

Stayed here midweek in February '21. Chose the Sutton because I had an all day family court matter to attend and it was in walking distance of the courthouse which was very convenient. The fact that its connected to a pedway to Edmonton city center mall was great if you wanted to shop. The check in and out was easy and the front desk staff were amazing! Chop Steak house is on the premises which is also very convenient. It's a high end restaurant so the prices reflect that and the restaurant service was also great. Was an added bonus that you received a discount on your meal if you're staying in the hotel. I found the bed I had hard to sleep in because I prefer a much softer mattress. But this may have had more to do with the reason I was there rather than the bed itself! Had coffee and complimentary waters in the room which was also nice. They offered hot breakfast which had good variety but you have to pay for it., whereas most hotels I've been to its complimentary. I would have loved to been able to spend more than an hour in the pool & hot tub but I understand that they had to book time slots amid covid. I found the shower tub combo somewhat difficult to adjust , they need an easier setup. All in all my stay was very pleasant and I would stay again.

Pool is open with restrictions. 1 household per appointment. My kids finally got to swim since march 2020 when all this covid thing happens. They really enjoyed the pool and it's safe because only 1 household can use at a time.
