Stewart Hall Art Gallery

If you are from downtown Montreal or are a visitor to the city, you may detered (and detoured!) from making the drive to Stewart Hall - given the construction clogged traffic along Highway 20. That being said, the trip is certainly worth it. The building itself is like an old manor house. Located on Lakeshore Boulevard next to the glistening water (on a sunny day) it is like a well-kept vision from a time gone by. There are usually at least two art exhibitions on at any given time. If you Google their website, you are going to find a good variety of fine arts events including musical performances. If you are a resident of the West island, and a lover of the arts, you should get on the Stewart Hall emailing list.

Location is great. Staff is courteous and there is always something going on, like painting exhibitions, performing arts, family n kids art workshops. Building is beautiful and so is the lakeshore drive.

Interesting art in the gallery. Helpful personnel but the craziest system I've ever seen when it comes to paying with a credit card for something bought in the gift shop. I had to go downstairs with the receipt and pay with my card then go back upstairs to pick up my gift, then back downstairs to leave the building. I tried to pay in cash but nobody had change!!!!

It's the first time my kid says he'd give a day camp five stars. I've got to like this place. I don't know if they do this every years, but this year they were giving a small performance every Friday. Kids seemed happy and proud of themselves.
