MJMS - the music school

My sons have been taking lessons here for almost ten years. My boys have had great instructors and they love the method of learning, where they get to choose the type of music they wants to learn. The school founders Michael and Annie are so amazing - always finding new and fun ways to engage students, especially during COVID.

Annie, Michael and the team have created a positive, high trust environment that does a wonderful job of teaching musical skills. What’s equally as impressive are the life lessons that are being learned on the benefits of synergy and collaboration.

My two children have been taking piano lessons for many years with MJMS. The teachers are kind, patient and genuinely interested in what the kids hope to achieve. We have always enjoyed the end of year recital as well and are blown away by the talent. Annie and Michael are so responsive and I would highly recommend them.

We started virtual music lessons in April. It has been amazing. So great that my daughter asked to do an extra lesson and start another instrument. MJMS provide a fantastic service with lovely administration, great communication and excellent teaching.

I decided to try singing lessons for the first time through MJMS's virtual platform and I couldn't have been more thrilled! There was something about being able to be in my home space that set me at ease and reduced any feelings of self consciousness about singing in front of someone. Henry, the instructor, is so encouraging and makes you feel so comfortable. He had great tips for improving my singing skills in a way that makes me actually excited to sing on my own outside of class time. Annie made the online set up seamless even when I had some technical difficulties. She was right there to patiently get me off and running. I highly recommend MJMS to anyone, any age, any skill level. Just go for it...you won't regret it!
