The Drake Hotel

Stayed here in August 2020 - nice and helpful staff both at the front desk as well as at the bar. We enjoyed a complimentary drink because we stayed at the hotel, and it was quite refreshing. Fun cocktails and the bar was busy despite COVID. The room is quite small, and not easy to navigate if you have a lot of luggage. The parking lot across the street is useful, but not easy to maneuver if you have a wide car (we were in a convertible). It also had many pot holes in the lot, and because it was in the plaza, questionable security. Fortunately, nothing happened to our car overnight. Despite the great service - the rooms are tiny and overpriced. I would not stay again.

This is really a 3 star hotel but I gave it 4 stars for it reputation and historical, kitsch appeal. Has a great lounge and dance area, was the bomb a few years ago. Now everything is shut down other than the rooms. Boring as hell but in a cool part of TO, so worth the stay, more of a crash pad.

Great menu selection. Friendly staff. The Brussel Sprout appetizer was BEYOND amazing and surprised everyone in the table. Burgers slightly smaller compared to other restaurants of its caliber, but tasted great and was juicy. Drinks had good ratio of alcohol.

If anyone out there is looking for bargain deals for hotel rooms check ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ reserved a hotel on there and these guys had the absolute best prices anywhere! The drinks were incredible, the patio very lovely, and the food was yummy and beautiful. The sides and appetizers were all delicious and great to share. The noodles and sushi were good as well.

First day back on the patio's Sunday and the team did a great job. I would maybe just suggest having napkins and straws for guests upon being seated. Otherwise everything was clean and run smoothly. Coming back for caesars asap!
