We went as a group of five escape room enthusiasts go check out Proxima Command. First, I'll say the setup is quite cool and I hadn't experienced anything like it before. Strongly recommend checking it out. We played through episodes 0 and 1. We found our actual experience lacking, however. Our host seemed almost uncertain about what we were doing there or how anything worked. He basically just dropped us in the room and closed the door and walked away. When we got stuck for 10 minutes, it took us basically having to go get him only to discover the system had actually crashed which was why we were stuck. We also got zero instructions about what we were supposed to do, how to do it, how the stations even worked or how anything worked. Really took away from any kind of immersion. We ended up just spending a lot of time mashing keys to try to even figure anything out. Once we had figured things out, we found the gameplay quickly got repetitive and that we were actually problem solving or needing to really think through things: it was more of a collective video game that we didn't find particularly challenging. It's really superb idea and the setup really is quite excellent. Wish I could have given it a higher rating but we walked away from our 2 hour experience feeling let down.

We had a blast! Friends told me about Proxima Command and the amazing time they had and I just HAD to go. We went in a group of 7 and we played the first mission on easy, but I was still on edge the whole time as captain of our crew. We successfully completed the mission, as well as all the side missions. The Proxima Command crew member (employee) was very nice and helpful. Gave clear and timely instructions on what we would have to do. I cannot wait to go back and try ALL the levels on a more difficult modes. :)

What a wonderful experience! We were all immersed in the world of Proxima Command from the moment we were given our costumes, until the very end. I was so impressed that they created a little trailer video of our gameplay by the time we were finished our mission! Will definitely be back for a birthday or fun get together with friends 😊

Went here today to celebrate my birthday with some friends. As a fan of sci-fi I can’t express how awesome this experience was - working with friends in a very convincing spaceship set. I appreciated all the work to make it look and feel like a real ship. Our host was attentive and helped nudge us in the right direction a few times when we were heading astray. We can’t wait to go back and play the next level!

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun experience like nothing else I've seen in Toronto. I organized a corporate event this past December at Proxima command and this was my overall experience: Michael and I were corresponding back and forth to figure out dates and prices. He was very accommodating even though, I changed dates more than once. We were also able to find a solution that fit the budget of the event. Bob was the on site coordinator - they had set up food, drinks, games, and was the perfect host. (I picked up lunch outside before and he told me how would've paid for it). We were a group of 34 people (If I recall), had the whole place to ourselves, and taken very good care of. The game itself plays less like an escape and more of a shared video game experience. It was a REALLY cool experience - it felt like we were stealing a spaceship and trying to figure out how to get to a base. This was an excellent team building exercise. It's different enough from traditional escape rooms and more challenging than VR rooms I've been too. I would classify it as it's own thing and would definitely recommend. I would definitely go back.
