Knowledgeable, kind,courteous, and had inventory. Doesn't get any better.

Case 1. My dive buddy (now partner :-)) and I began going to Dive Academy in winter 2019. She's a photographer and wanted advice about strobe arms for her housing. Dean's knowledge was amazing and we could immediately tell he was speaking from years of experience and ''he did this stuff all the time''. She purchased arms from Dean and they work great. When it came time to purchase video lights in 2020 we bought Kraken lights at Dive Academy. She loves them and we know the product is well supported. She has used them in Mexican caves, 200 foot wreck dives in Lake Huron and Ontario, deep walls in the St Lawrence and Tobermory. Case 2. We took gas blending and normoxic trimix training in 2020. (We did this privately and not with Dive Academy. We travelled to Wiarton and Toby a lot. It was exhausting and sometimes frustrating - due to all the weekends travelling - but we completed it.) We got all of our Trimix from Dive Academy. The fills were blended precisely, as required. I would drop our doubles on Tuesday, pick them up Thursday, analyze them and we were off training Friday evening for the weekend. Oh yes, that was usually 4 sets of hp100s, 2 x 80 cu/ft stages (with varying blends) and 2 x 40 cu/ft stages with 100% o2. Throughout the entire summer Dean helped us with any questions related to our ongoing training, gear issues, gear orders. Case 3. Pinnacle dive of 2020. The Manasoo, 200 feet, Lake Huron. Dive Academy provided the blends we needed. I say ''needed'' for a reason because Dean was aware of the potential of exceeding 200 feet. Dean couldn't join us because he was training that weekend but we are looking forward to seeing some cool stuff with Paula and him. Case 4. My dive buddy is in Mexico (taking pictures and exploring caves). And she's getting soaking wet on every dive! She's messaging me (I'm in Canada), I'm messaging Dean, Dean's supporting us again. We eventually got her dry enough to continue diving. Case 5. Bringing in tanks for fills with expired vis. Dive Academy got sorted out and their software is impressive. Case 6. I just took a regulator fundamentals course with Dean via Zoom. Great experience. I learned so much and had so many questions answered, clearly and precisely. I'm really excited about the course We invest heavily in this sport. We spend huge sums of money on gear, training, and travel. I makes me nuts when my time and investment is not respected. Every time we have bought or brought anything to Dive Academy we are given the cost, given a delivery date and updated when necessary. Professionalism and customer appreciation - for me that is huge. I had a nice visit. I got to meet Dean and Whisky (or is it Whiskey?).

Could literally spend all day in the shop talking with Dean and Paula... Highly recommend them for all your diving needs.
