Schellenberg Stables

Schellenberg Stables is an excellent barn whether you are wanting to learn how to ride, get competitive, or board your own horse. Schellenberg Stables runs a lesson program that focuses on teaching the students the skills they need in a fun and safe manner. Students not only learn to ride but are also taught horsemanship skills. They offer private, semi private and group lessons to their clients depending on their needs. The school horses are the stars of Schellenberg Stables. There are all sizes of horses and ponies to fit different riders. There are horses to teach complete beginners, and as riders progress, there is a large range of more intermediate to advanced horses to match each rider's skills. Coaches work to keep the lessons fun, interesting, and focused on improving the riders skills, while making sure that students are in a safe environment and not pushed beyond their abilities. The horses come first at Schellenberg Stables and they are kept in a clean environment where they are always well fed and exercised. Their care and happiness is a top priority, whether they are horses in the lesson program, or privately owned horses who are boarded. For riders who are interested in showing, Schellenberg is a great place to go. Schellenberg takes riders put to both schooling shows and A Circuit shows. Becoming a part of the Schellenberg Show Team is a great way to make new friends and enjoy the competitive side of horseback riding. Overall Schellenberg Stables is a great facility, with a convenient location that has a lot to offer to both new and experienced horse lovers alike.

Lessons are very organized but summer camp doesn't really help you on how to ride and doesn't have a lot of horse stuff.

My wife and I have been with Schellenberg for over a year now. We have started riding 3 times a week and wish we could ride every day. Schellenberg has a wonderful range of horses suitable for all ages and experience. The barns are kept extremely clean (Angel is the one we meet regularly and she is so nice and helpful), and it seems like they are always mucking out the stalls. We have been taking lessons with Georgia and she is WONDERFUL!!! She is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She actually has eyes in the back of her head - when you are riding and you think that you got away with something because she was not looking at you - she proceeds to tell you what you did wrong. She is extremely patient with us even when we don't hear and do something that we shouldn't. She has taken us from absolute beginners to a level that we are beginning to feel very comfortable, and we can't thank her enough!! With her help our knowledge and love for horses and horseback riding has grown tremendously. She explains well and always stresses safety. When she compliments us, we feel so happy because as we get better the compliments become more frequent. Thank you Schellenberg; all you wonderful horses; the people looking after the horses and stables; and all the trainers (especially Georgia!!) that makes riding for us such an enormous pleasure!!!

horses are very well taken care of and my boarder horse loves living here. coaches are very nice and give great feedback.

My daughter and I have been riding at Schellenberg for almost a year now, coaches and staff are always encouraging, supportive and extremely knowledgeable, horses are very loved and cared for - we look forward each and every lesson and have really improved our skills to be solid all around riders.
