Had a wonderful time watching Train to Busan 2: Peninsula, here. The popcorn was tasty and the seats were comfy, and projection and sound quality was great too! Although capacity is 300, they are limiting to 50 tickets during the pandemic, so you can go knowing that you'll have ample room to distance yourself safely from others. I do hope more seats can fill up as independent cinemas like this are hard to come by in a world of multiplexes. This place is a gem!

One of the few old-timey movie theaters left in the Greater Toronto Region showing a diverse array of films and is now open for business.

You can see a movie here without many previews, so that is nice. Very small screen in quite the compact upstairs theatre. Nice people and reasonable prices. Worth doing if they have a movie that pulls you in.

The Kingsway Theatre is a small rep theatre, on Bloor just around the corner from the Royal York TTC station, with an eclectic choice of movies. I most recently saw The Joker here, in a small screening room; my first movie here was Prince's Purple Rain, shown in the main theatre. The eclectic decor in the front rooms by the street, full of vintage cinema and pop-culture ephemera, is worth a browse.
