Claymates Ceramics Studio

What an amazing ceramics studio! I love being a member here. The owner and instructors are all so friendly and helpful. The environment is supportive, covid-cautious, and fun! You can do pottery on the wheel or practice hand-building. Being a member, my skills are improving and my stress is decreasing! Thanks so much for being a part in my self care and creativity journey! There is also a small shop at the front of the studio where you can buy gifts or ceramic treats for yourself. Great spot for shopping local and supporting a women-led biz.

I’ve been to quite a few different pottery studios within Vancouver and I genuinely have to say that Claymates is the most organized, clean and fair priced. Their choices of glaze have the most variety as well. I’ve enjoyed my classes and my instructor Emily was patient and so well-knowledged with ceramics. It really helped me to have a solid base set of skill sets to work with. Whether you’re trying out pottery for fun or as a more serious practice, I highly recommend taking classes at Claymates.

My partner and I came for their Intro to Wheel Throwing on Valentine's Day as complete pottery beginners and we had so much fun! Our instructor was so sweet and helpful. Her instructions were clear and she really encouraged us every step of the way. Marvelled by the whole experience, we were surprised to have been able to make plates and bowls in an hour and a half! I highly recommend anyone who is interested in trying one of their classes to just go for it, you will not be disappointed :)
