Beautiful concert hall. Lofty entrance with its red carpet stairs. In spite of the large size of the place there is almost an intimate relationship with the screen and stage. Having also had a meeting in one of the rooms in Palais Montcalm, I found the meeting room spacious, light and pleasant.

Great public space. We hired skates (a little under $10 for as long as we wanted) and although it had rained the day before and the quality of the ice wasn’t great, we still had a lot of fun. The location, near a gate to the old city, is picturesque and they played Christmas carols (we skated late December) so it was really atmospheric.

Attended here for the Rufus Wainwright concert February 24. What a fantastic venue for a voice like his. The acoustics are so good it did not matter we were sitting in the top balcony. Sight lines are clear all around. The lobby areas are welcoming and well serviced.

The sound and stage present was outstanding. The decor and this building is truly charming.
