Nice surprise! We arrived to see the beautiful sun setting behind the mountain view! We are bought takeout to eat and there were two picnic tables. Kids went up the viewpoint to see higher (reminded them of a tree house)!

Very beautiful place. A superb viewpoint on Mont Orford. Very well located between Lakes Magog, Memphremagog and Massawippi. If you are looking for toilets, the chalet (building) behind the community hall.

What to say about the observatory of Saint Cath ... Hmm, let's start with the positive point, let's face it, the spot is perfect, or almost, to observe the sunset or the sunrise right behind Mont-Orford. It's really quite a spectacle, the residents of the area are really very lucky! It's a great spot !!! What I find unfortunate is the fact that you are surrounded by houses, right across from a busy road, and on the other side there is some sort of farmhouse, or agricultural / residential land. From the observatory, I really have the impression of being in someone's field! For example that I am accompanied by the person I am seeing, the moment that I share with them is a little disturbed by that! But, that is purely my opinion, and maybe others too feel oppressed by this fact. Nor is it as if we could evict the residents who have to pay a fortune, to have what they have.
