Taylor Creek Park

A beautiful urban valley park with a relatively wide pathway in most areas and plenty of areas to stop, sit and enjoy the sounds of the urban ecosystem. There are a few areas where drainage is reliably bad and almost always have water running over the trail which may be unavoidable for people with accessibility issues. Another unfortunately reliable feature of the valley park is the intermittent wafting of raw sewage smell coming from the raised sewer grates. Just a healthy reminder that you're still in the city.

Wonderful park with a paved walking/cycling path. Tree lined and lots of bridges, benches and a dog park. I use it daily for dog walks but lots of spots for picnics and great floor amateur photographers. You don't feel like you're in the city. Unfortunately the trail doesn't not have lighting for later evening walks and is not maintained in the winter.

Beautiful walk, don't even realise you're in the City

A beautiful gem in Toronto. We go there as a family primarily for walks or bike rides. Although if you are going with the kids you might want to make sure you bring some rain boots as there are tons of spots by the creek that the kids love splashing in. Just a hint: there are literally dozens of different entrances to the park - we prefer some of the less busy ones without parking lots. Make sure you look through google maps first to decide which entrance you’d like to take.
