Last-minute check-in for a night close to where I was working. I wasn't expecting much for the low price, but the room was clean and comfortable. Was a bit noisy until about 10 pm but I slept very well (and am a light sleeper). Breakfast was basic (in a good way) spread of cereals, pastries, and fruit. Front desk people were pleasant. Would definitely go back.

Let's start with ''I don't know why they would call it a boutique hotel''. There is not much that's boutique-y about the place. It feels like a slightly outdated English hotel. Designation aside, this is a nice place. Nothing fancy, but very nice location very close to the Spadina subway/streetcar station. I was a little afraid, since I know the pub it is part of, but it is actually in a distinct building from the one housing the pub. Might get noisy in summer if patrons are outside, but when I visited, it was very quiet. Rooms are small but functional. Clean. Breakfast is taken in the pub first floor, check in is there too. And price is good.

Front desk attendant was polite and sweet. For an older, rustic looking building it was clean and well kept. Our room was also very clean and had a cute little balcony. Although our stay was quite overpriced we have no complaints. Cute little building to lay your head after spending time in the city.
