Pleasantly surprised going there during COVID times. Yes we had to schedule ahead of time because they were accepting a limited amount of people, but compared to the others times I've been, we had time to actually look at the plants and read the information about them. Usually we had to rush because there were so many people. Great experience

Very extensive gardens, expect to spend at minimum several hours here. You can easily spend a whole day working your way through the outdoor gardens and indoor tropical gardens. The tropical gardens are nice because the weather won't be an issue, so neither will the time of year. For the outdoor gardens on the other hand, you'd probably want to visit from May on, as that's when you'll obviously benefit most from the warmer weather, and bloomed plants. My most recent visit was in April, and despite being early in the year, and the weather not being great, it was still beautiful. I especially love the Chinese and Japanese gardens, and after having been to China a number of times, I realize how authentic it is! Reminded me so much of some of the temples I visited while in China on numerous occasions. I'd definitely recommend this as something to see while in Montreal, but to get the most out of it, May or June would be the better months to visit.

Beautiful place!! Went with my boyfriend and we really enjoyed it! Not a lot of people at this time of the year, it was quiet and we could take our time to take pictures and see everything. However I would definitely return in summer because there were no flowers yet outside.

Huge green area, fresh air. Feels like you are in the forrest. I wish they had some animal sector for kids. That would make it a good complex to spend a day for a family with kids. Nice bistro with as witches, salads. Iced coffee was a fantastic chiller for a hot day.
