Auberge Montagnard

Cute but basic hotel right across from the mountain. Great location with free parking. A little dated but personally that is what I found the most charming. And in any case the room was spotless! Overall we had a comfy sleep and other guests were not disruptive. We especially appreciated that the hosts went above and beyond to ensure our free breakfast adhered to social distancing regulations. Thank you!

Friendly staff. Room was clean but decor is dated and in need of replacement. Outside could be updated too. Overall for the price I paid I felt I got good value.

Let's not pretend you are clicking on this motel for an interesting Quebec vacation experience. You're cheap. You have somewhere to be. Or maybe you're having a quick rendezvous. I'm not judging. Regardless. What do you expect for the cheapest place on the map? Auberge Montagnard is all that and more. Sure we couldn't figure out the air conditioner (you had to flip the switch to on) and the beds are designed for hobbits (just a wee bit short) but we got our money's worth and more. The beds are way up on the comfort vs cost scale and we've experienced colours we haven't seen since the 70's. The toilet paper is alarmingly high quality for the price, but I'm not complaining. A 100% bed bug free evening! Thank you for the efficient and cost effective sleep.

While the staff was friendly and helpful, this hotel is very dated and definitely in need of renovations. Having said that, the room was clean and they have a stunning view of the mont St. Hilaire. It's located right off the 116 and minutes away from an apple orchard and a local store that sells baked goods and local produce. We stayed for one night and had a decent time.
