It was a motel, a bit dated|cobbled together with a slightly jarring stucco decor. The jacuzzi tub was nice, the room was dark but mostly clean (nothing gross but also not spotless), the bed was comfy and the price was right for a quick getaway. The jacuzzi suite we were in has a fridge but no microwave. There are quite a few restaurants within an easy walk, including a Buffet Des Continents, a Creole place, and others. The staff made an effort to assist us in English, but speaking some French was helpful.
