Gîte Aux Rêves d'Antan

If you like a homestyle stay with excellent homemade food, go here! It is in a beautiful location with a river view. The room we booked was beautiful with antique decorations, canopied comfortable bed, with view to the river, and had a spa tub. I disliked that the spa tub was in the bedroom as opposed to the bathroom and it had no curtain so there is no privacy if travelling with kids. Other rooms are available with a full bathroom. You will need a car to get around as it is out of the way from main areas, but we did not mind that; we prefer being closer to locals than busy tourists sites. Try to check in as early as possible to enjoy a relaxing time at the balcony or by the river. We unfortunately checked-in too late, around 5 minutes past midnight but were very fortunate to be allowed to stay. The owners were very hospitable and friendly. We will definitely go back to that bed-and-breakfast again to enjoy the great view, food, and conversation with the owner (Paul).

It's a nice, friendly, welcoming place. The breakfasts are delicious and the portions generous. I had a very pleasant stay.

The service for the restaurant was slower than usual but the wait was worth the pizza is excellent: baked with fresh ingredients the difference in taste was noticed The owner came to explain the order and was passionate about his work. The terrace is quiet and well located with views of the Richelieu

Everything was pretty good; I enjoyed my breakfast very much.
