I went to the choir night and it was an enchanting experience! I recommend to discover the Festival. There is also an Off-festival Bach on St-Laurent, what a beautiful place and what a great idea!

I visited Montréal for three days to experience the Bach Festival and had a wonderful time. The main stage performances, in various venues across the city, are supplemented by free, casual mini concerts held in the festival's hub on Blvd Saint-Laurent. I attended two of the former, and four of the latter in a mere 72 hours in the city! The space is staffed by friendly employees and volunteers who are always up for a chat and made me feel very welcome there. All of this contributed to a real festival vibe that I don't think I've experienced at any classical music events elsewhere.
