Our visit was during the spring, a easy stroll through the park for all kinds of families. Many routes to chose from ranging from an hour walk to 3 hours. There are also many scenic moments that make it look different from each part of the trail (Bridges, open fields, small forest, a well, foundation of an old home). The map on location can be a challenge to depict for many as it may be confusing (north facing not at the top of the map). Plan ahead and look at other alternative maps online. The overall, this is a great park to take all ages on a walk.

Not at all crowded mid-week. Has very easy trails as well as a little more challenging ones. Good for families.

Bob Hunter Memorial Park is nearly located in Markham. Very clean and pleasant walk. Parking lot is big, you can easily find a parking lot on Sundays. There are two charging station for electric cars. The parking lot is muddy but nothing to worry about. Very nice for families with young kids and dog owners. Dogs must be on leash. All is all very pleasant experience. There is another trail which is connected to Bob Hunter if you want longer walks.

The parking lot was a good size for not a busy afternoon.. It has quite enchanting trails about 1.8 to 2.8km loop trails, but due to some trails closed for construction, we needed to take a long time to complete the loop and also not suitable for younger kids. For a nice hike and dog walk, it's not bad as it is just a 12 minute drive away... The scenery is quite serene during a calm winter afternoon. There was one section where the trees are taller, rest of the trails didn't have too many tall trees. The signs are not user friendly and too less signs around... We got lost and took longer to get back to the parking lot.

Don't get me wrong. Any outdoor activity is nice and any park is nice. However in this case why the 4 stars you ask? Although 2 of the trails were closed we really wanted to do the Monarch which was open. But we had a hard time finding it. (Not much direction in where the oaths are per say)We ended up doing another one first in trying to find the Monarch. Once we found it, (which you have to cross the main road- unlikely for a natural path)we only did part way as it was very open and hot. We were too tired. We'll go back and do the Monarch and give it a second chance. Now that we know where it is.
