This past weekend, after much deliberation and debate, we made the decision that summer at Camp Hurontario this year would look different, as we shift our plans from our traditional camper model to a family camp model in response to a variety of logistical and operational challenges presented by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

As you are likely aware, the most recent announcement from the provincial government has established a framework for the reopening of Ontario. Within that framework, overnight camps fall under the second stage. As a result, Hurontario has to change our session lengths in July. While we still await details from our Government Health Authorities on what will be required of us to open and operate, we are now nevertheless excitedly proceeding with all the necessary arrangements required for us to be ready to open. Registration for the summer of 2021 is open! We are very excited and look forward to welcoming everyone to Hurontario for summer in the outdoors. As these COVID times are unsettled, Hurontario's opening will be based on the directives passed along from the Public Health and Government authorities.
