The Nativity Scene
What's Happening, 2018-10-15
Located beside the barn 5:30 pm – 10:30 pm each evening in December. The Nativity scene on display beside the barn was conceived and donated by Shawky Fahel and his family. Shawky commissioned Christian Palestinians in Shepherd’s Fields in Bethlehem to carve the scene from olive wood. The figures took 13 artisans 15 weeks to complete. The delicate carvings were then flown to Canada compliments of Air Canada. Displayed in its own specially constructed crèche, it is climate-controlled to preserve the delicate figurines and eliminate the possibility of any wood cracki
