Great place close to the city to get away and reconnect with Nature. I was pleasantly surprised with the hiking trails. The trails were varied between sun and shade and actually some fairly steep inclines in some areas. Excellent day trip, just get there early on nice weekend day...

This is where the Rouge River empties into Lake Ontario. And this is where the swans, the geese, and the ducks like to congregate in the pond. Nice and peaceful; until the train passes by. But the fowl don't seem to mind. Lots of birds hang out around here too. The last vestige o...

Vista Trail
The Vista Trail’s two-level viewing platform is one of the best places to view Toronto’s autumn colours and spectacular valley views.

Very lovely trail, most importantly, it crosses one of the nicest pieces of street in Toronto, plus a nice lookout tower.

Went today and trails were simultaneously both sheets of ice and muddy. But the weather was nice, and it wasn't too crowded at all.

Absolutely beautiful look out. Its a great spot to bring your family for a little picnic. There is a massive park below the Vista, which has a lot of trails to walk. It's definitely worth a visit, it may be one of the nicest parks in Scarborough.

Mast Trail
This classic Rouge Valley hike features excellent examples of rare Carolinian ecosystems while traversing a 200-year-old former logging route where pine trees were cut and floated down the river, eventually bound for ship building yards in Europe.

The trail is super pretty! Lots to see and take in. Had a decent amount of incline spread throughout. Only downfall is that there isn’t very much signage so you have no idea which way to go at the many forks or how long you have left of the trail. Just have to guess or use the ...

Nice hike. Would go again. Tip: cover your skin (long sleeves, cover your legs, etc.) Much of the trail has a warning for ticks if you go off the trail.

Rouge National Urban Park, Twyn Rivers Day Use Area
Nestled along the Little Rouge Creek, the Twyn Rivers Day Use Area is a great place to explore the park. Three classic Rouge hikes start here: head north on either the Orchard or Vista trails or south along the Mast Trail.

Absolutely stunning and brilliant! Gorgeous green space on the edge of Scarborough. I love the water and treed areas. Definitely a must for seekers of serenity.

There's a parking lot here. Usually busy on the weekends and holidays so people tend to park on the roadside instead just be aware that parking enforcement does come around from time to time here and hand out tickets. There's a few trails that runs through this spot that follows ...

Beautiful walk. Wonderful sandy beaches for the children make it an excellent, inexpensive way to pass the time. Keep in mind that the air is always colder at the lake (think 5-10c colder than the city). Dog walkers, kindly get your animals on tighter leashes, it's not fair to us...
